Opened in April 2000, The Venue in Borehamwood was the second 8 lane 25m pool in Hertfordshire (the first being Hitchin); it has spectator seating for 244.
The pool has Swiss Timing (Omega) Ares 21 electronic timing by using a mobile harness which is installed before each gala. A newly installed (Early 2008) LED display for each lane, and the option for reaction times. The pool also has a swimdown facility.
